Mission Statement
Qatar Academy offers a rigorous program encompassing an international English-medium education, Arabic and Islamic studies. The Qatar Academy community supports and challenges students to be critical thinker, and active and contributing members of society through learning experiences serving the needs, interests and learning styles of each student.

Objectives
Qatar Academy will meet the educational needs and expectations of our students, and aspire to provide those opportunities that our students need to develop to their full potential through:

  • providing a well-rounded education for the highest standards of academic, physical, social and cultural growth and development

About Qatar Academy

Qatar Academy is part of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a private, chartered, non-profit organization founded by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the father Emir.

It is the mission of Qatar Academy to provide internationally accepted, comprehensive, English medium programs plus Arabic and Islamic studies from pre-school through to secondary graduation. Comprising a Primary School and a Senior School, it occupies a magnificent campus in Doha.

QA Palestinian Night help rebuild schools in Gaza

The third annual Palestinian Night at Qatar Academy was as much a celebration of culture as it is a powerful reminder of the importance of education especially for the Palestinian children and families displaced from their homes. Held in the school’s auditorium, the students of QA have run this event collaboratively with the Islamic Studies department with the goal of raising awareness of the Palestinian issue by celebrating its culture and traditions.

Interactive display made by QAD students on show at MIA

Identity and what it means to young people in Qatar is the theme of a new interactive display on show at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Library from January 11. Working with Qatar Museums Family Programmes, students from Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) have produced the display and the result is a new project called My Museum.
