Mission Statement
Qatar Academy offers a rigorous program encompassing an international English-medium education, Arabic and Islamic studies. The Qatar Academy community supports and challenges students to be critical thinker, and active and contributing members of society through learning experiences serving the needs, interests and learning styles of each student.

Objectives
Qatar Academy will meet the educational needs and expectations of our students, and aspire to provide those opportunities that our students need to develop to their full potential through:

  • achieving academic excellence through varied teaching and learning strategies
  • providing for and maintaining the highest standards through continuous evaluation and improvement of all programs
  • providing a well-rounded education for the highest standards of academic, physical, social and cultural growth and development
  • employing an appropriate admissions policy to ensure that only students of the highest ability, who will benefit from the Academy’s programs, will be admitted
  • providing consistently challenging targets, so that each student realizes his/her full potential

About Qatar Academy

Qatar Academy is part of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a private, chartered, non-profit organization founded by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the father Emir.

It is the mission of Qatar Academy to provide internationally accepted, comprehensive, English medium programs plus Arabic and Islamic studies from pre-school through to secondary graduation. Comprising a Primary School and a Senior School, it occupies a magnificent campus in Doha.

International creative arts company Nose 2 Nose returned to Qatar Academy this week to work with grade 9 – 12 students enrolled in Drama and Music classes. The theater company is based out of United Kingdom and Japan but has done extensive training and workshops in international schools across Asia.

Peter Dalglish Country Representative for UN-Habitat in Afghanistan, founder of the Street Kids International charity and the Trails Youth Initiative program spoke to faculty and staff at QA about his humanitarian work and his career in Afghanistan, Ethiopia and Sudan with refugees and street children.
