Students

All students will be provided with an educational program and atmosphere to help them to achieve academically and to grow as a person.

The following rights and responsibilities are stipulated to help the students achieve their goal.

Every student has the right to:

  • be treated with respect;
  • be provided with an educational program and atmosphere to help him to achieve academically and to grow as a person;
  • be given clear and timely information on all rules and regulations;
  • consult with teachers, counselors, administrators and other school personnel;
  • present his/her concerns to school authorities and receive prompt replies;
  • make decisions regarding personal life and behavior in accordance with school rules.

Every student is responsible for:

  • attending classes regularly and punctually;
  • listening to others, both teachers and students;
  • being fair and honest in completing school work;
  • following teacher direction and classroom procedures;
  • not disrupting the class with poor behavior;
  • respecting the laws and culture of Qatar;
  • following school and classroom rules;
  • following the dress code;
  • helping to maintain a pleasant, clean, safe environment;
  • taking good care of books and other school property;
  • being courteous;
  • welcoming and assisting newcomers;
  • demonstrating respect and sensitivity for the well-being of others;
  • showing respect for other cultures;
  • moving carefully through corridors and the playground;
  • showing tolerance;
  • avoiding name-calling, bad language and gestures;
  • refraining from harassing or threatening other students either verbally or physically.

Every student has the privilege of:

  • participation in school-sponsored programs and activities during and after the school day;
  • using of school facilities for supervised activities;
  • unsupervised use of free time if academic standing is satisfactory as defined by the school;
  • participation in developing, improving and enforcing the rules and standards of student conduct.
