Week Without Walls

Throughout the academic year, Qatar Academy Senior School gives students an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of an experiential learner.

The focus of this is Week Without Walls, which takes place each May.  The Senior School collapses the timetable to allow students to participate in programs based in Qatar or overseas.  Students in the Middle Years Programme (Grades 6 – 10) select from a range of local and international programs.  These provide shared starting points for inquiry into what it means to be internationally minded, framing a curriculum that promotes multilingualism, intercultural understanding and global engagement.

The overseas programs offered are planned collaboratively with specialist educational travel companies that Qatar Academy has worked with very successfully over many years.

Students can request to go on any program, which they have not been on before.
