Online Information Systems

Power School

Power School is an online-based Student Information System (SIS) used by parents, faculty and staff throughout QA. Parents can visit the site 24 hours a day, seven days a week for an immediate, up-to-date record of their child’s performance in school. Individual billing information for tuition, meals, and other fees is located here as well.

Teachers use the site to take attendance, update grades, create report cards and track student support services. In addition, health records and contact information are available for each student in case of emergency.  Power School is available for parents and teachers at:


Moodle is an online system for teacher-student communication. Teachers use the classroom Moodle to post weekly overviews and assignments, and share various resources pertaining to homework assignments. The Moodle can also be used to engage in chat sessions between teachers and students, create polls, submit homework, and enable students to share their opinions on selected labs, topics, or assignments. Qatar Academy is part of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a private, chartered, non-profit organization founded by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the father Emir.

It is the mission of Qatar Academy to provide internationally accepted, comprehensive, English medium programs plus Arabic and Islamic studies from pre-school through to secondary graduation. Comprising a Primary School and a Senior School, it occupies a magnificent campus in Doha.

QA Palestinian Night help rebuild schools in Gaza

The third annual Palestinian Night at Qatar Academy was as much a celebration of culture as it is a powerful reminder of the importance of education especially for the Palestinian children and families displaced from their homes. Held in the school’s auditorium, the students of QA have run this event collaboratively with the Islamic Studies department with the goal of raising awareness of the Palestinian issue by celebrating its culture and traditions.

Information systems students of Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMUQ) have partnered with The Hague International Model United Nations (Thimun) Qatar Northwestern University Film Festival, to develop an online platform to ease the submission process for participating student filmmakers.
